MEMORIES OF WEBSTER BOOTH AND ANNE ZIEGLER

I am creating podcast to commemorate the anniversaries of the births and deaths of Webster Booth and Anne Ziegler. As Webster's death and Anne's birth occur on 21st and 22nd June, I will probably do a combined podcast on that date. This means that there will be three podcasts a year for as long as I can manage to do them.

Tomorrow is the eleventh anniversary of Anne's death on 13th October 2003. The playlist for this podcast is as follows:

Léhar Medley 1, Webster Booth and Anne Ziegler, with orchestra conducted by Mark Lubbock, 20 December 1950 HMV C4125

Waltz Song from Merrie England (Edward German) Anne Ziegler. Private recording, Knysna (circa 1968)

Caprice Viennois (Fritz Kreisler) Tamsin Little (violin)

Morning (Oley Speaks) Webster Booth, accompanied by Gerald Moore. Recorded in 1940 HMV B9071

My Hero from The Chocolate Soldier  (Oscar Strauss) , Risé Stevens

I Breathe on Windows (Billy Mayerl) Eric Parkin (Piano)

May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You (Meredith Willson) Webster Booth, with orchestra conducted by Sidney Torch. Recorded 1951. HMV B10035.
